Housing Options for Low Income, Senior, and Disabled Residents Public Housing Communities At Foley Housing Authority, we are dedicated to providing affordable housing options for individuals and families in need. Through our management of Public Housing communities, we offer a range of housing solutions to low income, senior, and disabled residents in the area. Housing Choice Vouchers (Formerly Section 8) In addition to our Public Housing program, we also administer Housing Choice Vouchers, formerly known as Section 8. These vouchers allow eligible individuals and families to find suitable housing in the private rental market. A Variety of Apartments Currently, Foley Housing Authority owns, maintains, and operates a total of 343 apartments. Of these, 122 apartments are part of our Public Housing Program and 221 apartments are available through the Section 8 program. Waiting List and Application Information Due to the high demand for affordable housing, there may be a waiting list for both our Public Housing Program and Section 8 apartments.
