Office Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Rental Assistance Programs: The Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach (HACLB) offers Rental Housing Assistance Programs to support low-income, elderly, and disabled residents in Long Beach, ensuring they enjoy dignified living conditions in safe and sanitary housing. Programs Offered: 1. Housing Choice Voucher Program (commonly known as Section 8 Rental Assistance Program) 2. HOPWA Housing Opportunities for Persons Living with AIDS 3. VASH Veteran's Affairs Supportive Housing 4. SPC Shelter Plus Care and Homeless Assistance Program (in conjunction with the Health Department's Continuum of Care Program) Additional Support: HACLB provides special supportive services through the Family Self Sufficiency Program and Homeownership Programs. These programs focus on financial and literacy training, development of escrow accounts, career and academic guidance, and resource referrals. Our partnership with the City's Workforce Development Bureau also offers job training opportunities, further assisting families in their journey towards economic self-sufficiency and homeownership.
