The rents are determined based on the Area Medium Income (AMI) and tenant based utility allowances. It is required that at least 20% of our apartments provide low rates for low-income tenants. Waiting Lists and Contact Information: Please note that most low-income apartments have waiting lists, and it can take years to be called for openings. To increase your chances, we recommend applying to multiple waiting lists. We provide phone numbers and websites for direct contact with the apartments, so you can inquire about current openings or open waiting lists. Apartment Rates and Qualification: While we provide current apartment rates on many listing pages, most HUD listings do not have published rates. Instead, they are determined based on 30% of the renter's adjustable gross income. To determine if you qualify for income-based rent, you will need to contact the apartments directly and discuss your eligibility.
