Income and Age Requirements Esperanza Apartments is exclusively reserved for residents who earn less than 60 percent of the area median gross income. For individuals, the income threshold is $37,980, and for two-person households, it is $43,380. Additionally, to be eligible for residency, the head of household must be at least 55 years old or older. Pet-Friendly Environment Pets are welcomed at Esperanza Apartments, with a few limitations. We allow all common pets, except for exotic animals and snakes. However, if you have a bird, they must be kept in a cage. To ensure a harmonious living environment, pets must weigh less than 25 pounds, have proof of rabies shots, and receive approval from the management. A pet deposit of $150 is required.
